PYRMONT + ULTIMO + DARLING HARBOUR

Work. Live. Play

EVENTS

The Peninsula attracts events from 20 to 30,000 people. As a local business, this is an exciting opportunity to leverage and be part of business networking events, conferences, large-scale events and experiences that attract local residents, Sydneysiders, people from across Australia and international visitors.

The Peninsula is home to some of the most exciting venues in Sydney.

CHAMBER EVENTS

Networking events are run for businesses in the Pyrmont, Ultimo and Darling Harbour precinct as well as businesses who service our area. The networking events are a great way to connect with other local businesses, discuss business ideas, set up collaborations and have initial new business conversations face-to-face. The Chamber team is here to support members and connect you with each other. So just ask us at the event if you want us to introduce you to other people attending. These networking events are free for all current chamber members and available at a cost for non-members. We encourage non-members to sign up as a Silver, Gold or Platinum member as it means that you receive a minimum of 1 complimentary ticket to each of the 4 networking events we run throughout the year.

WHO OWNS THE OCEAN?

15 May

Australian National Maritime Museum

Marine Protected Areas – the national parks of the sea - promise to save our oceans, but do they work?

Are they protecting marine life or just drawing lines on a map? Some say they are our best hope for ocean recovery. Others argue they’re just too difficult to enforce and threaten livelihoods.

What are they, who do they serve and what could they become?

This talk is presented as part of Big Blue Ideas, a new series from the Australian National Maritime Museum in partnership with the Minderoo Foundation about the future of our ocean.

Featuring:

David Booth| Professor of Marine Ecology at UTS

Camille Comtat| Manager, Biodiversity and Habitats at Minderoo

Robert Cooley| Senior Ranger at Gamay Rangers

+ Special Guest

What is it?
